Sports Teams Get Tattenhoe Boost

Click to go back to previous page

With plans progressing fast towards the completion and opening of this new sports and community facility in Tattenhoe District Park, we are looking for interested parties who wish to book the facility for structured groups and team games. This facility is located off Holborn Crescent, close to the Giles Brook Combined School.

The facility will have a multipurpose community hall, which will include a badminton court, meeting room, kitchen, extensive changing facilities, a bar and social area. Outside there will be a floodlit synthetic turf hockey/football pitch, a cricket wicket (anticipated use commencing summer 2007) as well as two junior and three senior grass football pitches. The facility also includes a car park for numerous vehicles.

Tattenhoe Pavilion will accommodate a broad range of community and sporting activities to serve local residents such as playgroups, children's clubs, senior citizen activities, scouts/brownies and youth clubs. The facility will also become home to a variety of aerobics, martial arts, football, hockey, and cricket clubs. Local schools and residents will also benefit from this high quality facility for booking of functions and presentations alike.

As part of the long term plan for the area, the District Park has been laid out by the Tattenhoe Developer Consortium, in consultation with the national regeneration agency English Partnerships, and this provides the context for the new pavilion. This essential community provision is fully supported by Milton Keynes Council and is helping to deliver their Leisure Facilities and Playing Pitch Strategies.

Tattenhoe Pavilion is due to open in July 2005 and if you wish to be a part of Milton Keynes' newest leisure facility please complete and return (Document 6891 "Expressions of Interest Form")
