Welcome to the Neighbourhood Services Directorate

Although Milton Keynes is a prosperous city there are many vulnerable people who need support or specialist services - and we must remember that vulnerable people are not necessarily short of money.

We aim to meet the needs of local people by harmonising our Housing Service with our Adult Social Services. We also work closely with a variety of partners, particularly Children's Social Services in our Learning & Development Directorate and the local Health Service.

In all of this, our priority is to help our service users to live at home and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Supporting People - What is it?

Supporting People is a national government programme, managed by Milton Keynes Council that is responsible for funding, reviewing and planning housing-related support services for a range of vulnerable people. It aims to ensure that services provided are of good quality, value for money and meet local needs.
