MKWeb is now in its 8th year and continues to grow and develop as the definitive guide to Milton Keynes and the surrounding area.
In August 2005, MKWeb delivered just over 3.2 million pages of information, with over one million visits, a new record figure.
A recent survey of local information websites showed that MKWeb delivers twice as many pages every month than all the other Milton Keynes websites combined. These figures are borne out by the Society of IT Managers who ranked MKWeb as the fifth most popular local information website in the country.
MKWeb has a unique design, which enables it to collect information from across the community and re-distribute it. The devolved content design allows hundreds of users to input information into MKWeb. Each user only has access to their own micro website and can update wherever and whenever they like. This creates a site that is continually being updated by people who have a real interest in ensuring that the information they provide is up to date and useful.
