At that particular school, the teachers did not explore black and minority ethnic contributors, such as Toussaint Le Overture, Rosa Parks, Mary Seacole and other black achievers. Therefore this individual had to research and find information relating to historical figures. The lesson learnt was that if information is not being communicated we should - ● Search ● Look ● Ask For if we do not do this we may remain ignorant of many achievements and contributions made by different groups and individuals in society. A Milton Keynes citizen Many people are unaware of black achievements and contributions made over the centuries. Here are just a few from the list of 100 Great Black Britons.
