West Midlands Local Government Agency (WMLGA) needed to bring their training services web site up to date. Their original had a number of restrictions that were causing problems.
Being �hard coded� it was difficult, time consuming and expensive to update as the services of an internet programmer was required for even the smallest change. WMLGA also had a dynamic database of the various courses that they offer, they wanted to be able to maintain this database on a desktop PC but be able to upload it to the website at any time and then make on line amendments. Each course had background information which WMLGA wanted users to be able to �drill down� to.
WMLGA chose Apollo�s Portal Constructor to build the new site which was done in a couple of weeks. The site has been extremely successful with both the general content and course information being updated very frequently without the need for any programming or advanced IT skills.
